Follow-up to my writing habits poll: About half of the writers who responded said they set their goals by the number of hours they write, half by the number of words. I tend to go by the latter when working on fiction, though this gets somewhat confusing when I’m revising.
Though mainly geared toward members, the Writer’s Guild of America Web site has useful info available to non-members, including sample contracts, interviews, columns and articles. Main focus is on screenwriting. See “For Writers” along the left navigation bar.
