The Scriptorium is much more than just a monthly Webzine for writers. In addition to its free newsletter, this award-winning site for writers has a message board, reviews, inspirational exercises, tools for writers such as printable character sketch and plot planning worksheets, workshops (fee), and a bunch of free downloads. There’s also a special section for young writers called Scriptorium Scribbles with its own e-zine and other useful resources. Definitely worth checking out! Editor and publisher: Sherry Ramsey.
In his blog A Writer’s Life (not to be confused with the blog mentioned in my previous entry), Lee Goldberg discussed the difference between a series treatment and a TV movie treatment.
The Writer’s Life is an online magazine for writers, packed with useful articles, interviews, a bi-weekly e-mail newsletter and resource links that include guidelines to paying markets. The site is maintained by author Dorothy Thompson, who also has a blog with the same name as her Web site.
Here’s another great cartoon by Patricia Storms, of particular interest to writers. ![]()
I’ve started receiving some postcards in my P.O. Box, including the one below. You can see the others in my brand-new Flickr postcard collection. Thank you! I love postcards: each is unique, personal, a brief greeting from a different place. My post card address, for those interested: Debbie Ridpath Ohi, 34 Eglinton Ave W., P.O. Box 189, Toronto, ON M4R 2H6.
