Cartoon Caption Challenge
by Inkygirl on January 31, 2007

My Daily Doodle, created in Corel Painter. I like doing one-off doodles that tell a story somehow (must be the writer in me :-)) but after I posted this in
my Flickr sketchbook, I thought I’d see what the rest of you thought.Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Suggest a caption for this illustration!

Try as he might, Billy couldn’t remember whether his dog was AC or DC.

Bob had been patient with them, but this time, the squirrels had gone too far.

When they claimed these circuits were grounded, they meant it!

Sometimes even a tree needs a creative outlet.

Fred had such good results spreading news through a telephone tree, he thought he’d try the idea with other utilities.
Monica 01.31.07 at 7:28 pm
Unfortunately, Fred didn’t think it through before his computer had filled with tree sap.

“Wow, when the phone company said there was something wrong with the trunk circuit, they weren’t kidding!”

1) I guess when I saw the little squirrel elevator, I should have expected this.
2) You know, making love in the snow is weird enough. Couldn’t she at least use sex aids that are battery-powered?
3) The “Mr. Bill” tree defacer strikes again!

Actually, I really like this one as a silent “!” sort of cartoon.
There aren’t that many of them, and I do like them when I see them.

I thought I’d NEVER find a place to plug in my SUV’s block heater!

When Michael asked for a sign of God’s power, he thought he better not push it further by asking WHY.

I agree with Heather - I think this one is best without a caption! In any case, it makes me think of that neverending dilemma: if you take your laptop with you, where on earth do you plug it in???
patricia 02.04.07 at 1:44 pm
Stephen Harper’s answer to alternative forms of energy.
And yes, I agree, no caption is the best. Great cartoon, Debbie! You just keep getting better and better!
