The Discovery
My Daily Doodle, created in Corel Painter. I like doing one-off doodles that tell a story somehow (must be the writer in me :-)) but after I posted this in my Flickr sketchbook, I thought I’d see what the rest of you thought.Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Suggest a caption for this illustration!

Well, this should make dealing with Christmas lights easier…

Phillip Mills 01.31.07 at 6:56 pm

Try as he might, Billy couldn’t remember whether his dog was AC or DC.

Amanda 01.31.07 at 6:57 pm

Bob had been patient with them, but this time, the squirrels had gone too far.

Phillip Mills 01.31.07 at 6:58 pm

When they claimed these circuits were grounded, they meant it!

Jeffrey Cornish 01.31.07 at 7:03 pm

Ah, here’s where I can plug the self starting rock into.

Peter Alway 01.31.07 at 7:21 pm

Sometimes even a tree needs a creative outlet.

Peter Alway 01.31.07 at 7:23 pm

Fred had such good results spreading news through a telephone tree, he thought he’d try the idea with other utilities.

Monica 01.31.07 at 7:28 pm

Unfortunately, Fred didn’t think it through before his computer had filled with tree sap.

Dave Weingart 01.31.07 at 7:32 pm

“Wow, when the phone company said there was something wrong with the trunk circuit, they weren’t kidding!”

John Hall 01.31.07 at 7:42 pm

Walter had never seen a power plant before.

1) I guess when I saw the little squirrel elevator, I should have expected this.

2) You know, making love in the snow is weird enough. Couldn’t she at least use sex aids that are battery-powered?

3) The “Mr. Bill” tree defacer strikes again!

Heather 01.31.07 at 9:30 pm

Actually, I really like this one as a silent “!” sort of cartoon.
There aren’t that many of them, and I do like them when I see them.

Graham Leathers 01.31.07 at 9:56 pm

I thought I’d NEVER find a place to plug in my SUV’s block heater!

Blade 01.31.07 at 10:01 pm

So *this* is what they meant by “Green Energy”!

The latest upgrade to Ontario Parks campsites.

Gary McGath 02.01.07 at 2:09 am

I thought that I would never see / Line current coming from a tree.

Inkygirl 02.01.07 at 6:00 am

HA, these are great. :-D

djbp 02.01.07 at 6:02 am

So that’s where the Litoria electrica plugs in

Angela Giles Klocke 02.01.07 at 9:15 am

When Michael asked for a sign of God’s power, he thought he better not push it further by asking WHY.

Katharine Swan 02.02.07 at 3:02 pm

I agree with Heather - I think this one is best without a caption! In any case, it makes me think of that neverending dilemma: if you take your laptop with you, where on earth do you plug it in???

patricia 02.04.07 at 1:44 pm

Stephen Harper’s answer to alternative forms of energy.

And yes, I agree, no caption is the best. Great cartoon, Debbie! You just keep getting better and better!
