So I’ve registered with Creative Moonlighter, yet another job database intended to help employers network with freelancers. I signed up for the free level of membership, and am impressed so far. Nice interface, profile set-up requires more than just a “post your resume and pray that someone notices it” strategy. I’ve already been contacted to apply for a couple of projects, and the projects were of actually interest to me. Haven’t been hired for anything yet, though. If members choose to pay ($74.95 for 3 Months/$149.95 per year for Preferred, $124.95 for 3 Months/$249.95 per year for Premium), they get access to more jobs, flexibility in bidding for projects, and a guarantee for a certain number of project leads. I would be highly interested in hearing from anyone out there who has used the paid service, whether it was worth it.

I have’t used the paid service, but have gotten one assignment so far using the unpaid membership. I’ve noticed that since I completed that assignment and received feedback for it (5 stars), the number of invitations I’ve received has increased. In fact, I received three today. I think that once you ‘get over the hump’ with the first assignment, others will follow. Good luck.
