It isn’t enough to keep from getting ripped off, what to do what we have helped someone fleece our fellow scribes?
I was contacted a few weeks past by someone representing themselves as a Screenplay Agent who wanted to hire me to edit her company’s website designed to solicit writers.
I did. She didn’t pay me of course. When starting to check around the net it turns out she’s part of small group of long-time scammers who do not sell to screen producers, but instead demand cash from the author for editing with promises of pot-of-gold at the end of their rainbow.
What to do now?
Thanks.

Ugh, so sorry you had to go through that! If you haven’t already, you should check out Writer Beware and let them know about what happened.
