Inkygirl: Daily Diversions For Writers

The move and revamp seem to be going smoothly. I’ve decided to nix my old categories and start afresh…I had way too many categories to be useful. Reason for the revamp: I was hoping to design a new Inkygirl from scratch, using CSS, but decided that my time would be better spent actually WRITING.

Inkygirl no longer focuses on telecommuting job listings, for those who missed my announcement last year. It was becoming more of a challenge to sort through all the dreck to find good writing jobs on a daily basis that pay well and since Inkygirl is a labour of love (i.e. unpaid), I’d rather spend that time working on my own writing.

What I’ll be posting instead:

- my cartoons and comic strips for writers

- anything I think would be of interest to writers that they may not have heard about elsewhere

- highlighting interesting writing-related blog posts I’ve found (feel free to let me know of any you think of special value to writers)

- my own writerly obsessions, like office supplies and productivity tools and office ergonomics

I’m going to experiment with allowing comments on, though these will likely be screened to some extent, to avoid the spam-deluge I experienced the last time I enabled the comments function. I’m going to experiment with some comment spam filters available now that weren’t back then, and I also welcome suggestions!
