Sitemeter.com partners with spyware firm
by Inkygirl on April 9, 2007

A heads-up for those using the stats-tracking Sitemeter service: the company has apparently partnered with a third-party spyware firm. See
my Blathering today. I have removed the Sitemeter counter from
Blatherings and
Inkygirl, and will be removing it from my other blogs as well.

Thanks for the heads-up. I saw something about it on the StatCounter blog, but it didn’t say who the company was.
Good to know!

Thanks inkygirl.
I’m using http://www.statcounter.com - has everything I need.
If you’re looking for a new counter you should try it.

I’ve found that GoStats.com has a better depth of reporting and is less limiting than statcounter.

Hey there! Thought you’d be interested in learning that Stat Counter now offers a log size of 500 for free!
See the article on their blog:
