Upside-down fish

by Inkygirl on March 14, 2007

I’m babysitting a fish that sometimes swims upside-down. I’m glad its young owner warned me, or I would have freaked out this morning:

Ernie the Fish

If you’re curious, you can read about my absymal record with babysitting people’s pets. That has nothing to do with writing, I’m sorry. But this does: yay, my comp copies of the 2007 Writer’s Yearbook arrived yesterday! My article is “2006: The Year In Review”:

Clipping
Thanks to those who posted in response to my survey about what you writers all wear at home. Interesting to note the conflicting philosophies regarding footware: bare feet (”Shoes are too confining and stunt my creativity. :-)”) and shoes (”I did once read that always having your shoes on makes you feel ready to cope with anything, and thus more productive.”)

I would have thought that fish was dead.

My fish has been swimming upside down and laying on the bottom of her tank since July-it is now April. We have had her fpr 4 years and now she rarely swims upright. She still begs for food (while on her side) and seems ok. I haven’t been able to find out what the deal is with my crazy fish. EVERYONE who comes over insists she is dying!!
