ooh! i do the same thing. and yes, i agree. cereal boxes make for great reading too. but i also read the back of shampoos when i take a bath, or anything in the bathroom i can read. hahaha! this one sure hits home.

I can probably recite the the care tag on my fir tree centerpiece by heart.

Me! Anything is fair game…

Guilty!
And I, too, read the backs of shampoo (and conditioner) bottles in the shower — and I have really long hair, so the longer and more overwrought the description of how wonderful the particular product is for my locks, the better!

*hand raised* Definitely me with the cereal, milk jug, etc. In the shower? Not on purpose. I do become accidentaly distracted by product labels, though.

I do this all the time. I’ll read anything. Honestly, if all I have is a coffee cup, I’ll read “Warning: Hot” again and again. It’s great. Hah.

Oh, I’m so relieved to know I’m not alone in this fascination with the written word on cereal, shampoo, and canned food labels. Sigh.

I too am guilty of the shamppo/conditioner bottles in the shower. I must recommend Sunsilk- they write some interestingly racy bottle descriptions.

Hehe…I had a friend who once said “I’ll read anything that doesn’t move and some things that do.” She was soooo right.

Oh yes, I identify. I once got so distracted with the back of the muffin mix box that the darn things burned!
Tasha // Mar 22, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Speaking of things that move…has anyone (else) ever gotten upset b/c a vehicle or person moved before you could finish reading what was written on them?
Rachel Starr Thomson // Mar 22, 2008 at 2:16 pm
I thought everyone did that :).

I just STARED when I read this comic. I was dumbstruck. I couldn’t believe other people read product labels when they have nothing else to read.
I read shampoo bottles.
I don’t feel alone in the world any longer. : )

Tasha: That happened to me this morning! There’s one of those fancy, digital billboards on my drive in and there was an advertisement for a Peking Acrobats show, which flashed off and was replaced by an ad for a gigantic television — before I got close enough to read where and when the acrobat show is going to be!!! Aaaarrrrgh!

um, guilty as charged. i’m not sure i know *how* to eat without reading, just like i don’t know how to walk without dogs.
Leslie Dicken // Mar 26, 2008 at 9:55 am
ME! ME! ME!
I must have SOMETHING to read while I’m eating — especially if I’m eating cereal! LOL!!
