“There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.” — W. Somerset Maugham
Deadline for a Writer’s Digest article was today; I just finished it, so am allowing myself to post here :-). The piece is summary of the magazine and book publishing industry in 2006, for their special Yearbook issue. I spent the weekend going through Publisher’s Weekly archives, going through every issue, as well as Market Watch archives, and finishing up the article. Now my brain is bursting with mergers and acquisitions, publishing trends and headlines.
Today is also my sister’s birthday! My sister is a talented children’s book writer and illustrator; you can find out more in my Blathering today. I have the coolest sister in the world.
