I just discovered this challenge yesterday and wrote a small 290 words, but I wrote. So I'm not belatedly participating.

I wrote 1,000 words this week.

Not counting what I hope to do today, I wrote 6K and some change. Writing was curtailed over the weekend due to fever. Lousy sickness getting in my way....

I discovered this a couple days after it had begun, so I gave myself another couple of days to discover what my novel was going to be about, and then started. So far: two days, 2098 words. Thanks so much for starting this up!

I dropped the ball a couple days, but I wrote more this week than I have in over a month, so that's an improvement. Gotta get the momentum going. And having that challenge in the back of my mind is a good "goad."

Averaging closer to 600-800 per day rather than my projected 1000. I've created a spreadsheet to help me keep track of my progress. Good luck to all of you in your challenges! :)

I only joined the challenge last Wednesday or so and have written more than 500 words each day apart from Saturday which I declared to be my "day off" for the week.

Thank you very much for hosting the challenge because it was the single one thing that made me take action on my resolution to write daily even when there's no NaNoWriMo.

I am curently about a day behind, assuming I write everyday with not breaks. However, I did have a significant break through with one of the projects I am working on. I knew it would have to be devided as it was just getting to bulky, however I was hoping to avoid the character split. But it made sense. I had two different casts of characters traveling in oposite directions. To the greater whole of the story they are envolved in the same plot, but with two different resolutions.

Somedays I manage more than a 1000 other days less than. So I am working on an averages system. I don't want to drop down to a lower word count expectations as that would just allow my slacker nature to slack even more. I am going to keep pushing onwards with the current goal of 1000 words a day.

I'm doing a daily average thing because some days I write 3000+ and other days barely squeak out 100. I've not written today so going by the 10th, I've got 1072.8 average so far.

Going strong! :)

I haven't been keeping a spreadsheet, so I don't know exact numbers. But I know I'm meeting the mark! 500 words a day is a just-right number for me. Thanks!

made it 5 out of the 6 days last week, lovin' the extra incentive to keep at it--even if it is just a graphic on my site. It's oddly motivating.

I purposefully joined the wimpy one (250) so that the overachiever in me could feel redeemed when I did 3-500 a day.

I am surprised, but I managed to meet my 500 words/day goal for the whole week. This week shouldn't be any different.

I have gotten off to a rough start for the New Year :( I found a simple little word ticker that blogger will allow as well as facebook and was all set to go. Then made the mistake of making excuses for myself which allowed me to fall very behind (SHAME ON ME!!!). Have only gotten up to a little over 3 thousand for the year to date with all the writing sites I have been summiting to. If I count my online personal journal it bumps it up to maybe 7 or 8 thousand but I am in a year long challenge right now that doesn't allow for one to summit the word count of once journaling blog (Wasn't sure about in here).

But I gave myself a good kick in the rear. I have a lot of writing to do. Besides the fact that I have signed up for this challenge at a 1,000 words a day, I have also signed up for the WriYe challenge. Setting my year word count at ONE MILLION WORDS FOR THE YEAR!!!! I am thinking I might have bumped my head and not realized it (LMAO).

Either way I gave a good effort yesterday and wrote a total for the day of 2295. Only 1700 can be applied towards year challenge. Still I am not giving up!! I have posted everything I have written on one of my blogs in order to keep me going. Hopefully I can report a better count next week when we check in. Good luck to everyone :)
